Farmers Market Launceston: Come say hi!

Tasmania is home to some of the finest food producers in the world. The Tamar Valley is a known foodie hot-spot, home to Tasmania’s best taste trail and surrounded by some beautiful scenery. The Launceston CBD often marks the starting line for the Tamar Taste Trail, it also plays host to a weekly farmers market.

Every Saturday morning a Launceston inner-city car park comes alive with the sound of music, coffee machines and some of Tasmania’s most passionate foodies. The Harvest Market Launceston really demonstrates the vibrant culture of Tasmania. The markets offer food inspired from all corners of the Earth. Even better, the food is sold by the people who put all the hard work in! It is a great opportunity to chat to the producers and find out exactly how their produce is made.

History of The Harvest Market Launceston

The Farmers Market Launceston began as a simple idea. Offer fresh produce from locals, to locals. After receiving widespread support from the local community, the council jumped on board and suggested Cimitere street car park as an ideal location.

As the years go on the Launceston Harvest Market grows in size but retains its intimate feeling. The market starts your weekend with a friendly, colourful atmosphere.

The Launceston Harvest Market welcome volunteers with open arms. It looks great on your CV plus you get to meet great people!

KOOEE! gets involved

The Launceston Farmers Market holds a dear place in our heart. It was the first time KOOEE! beef jerky was ever available to the public. We were welcomed with open arms.

KOOEE! Often brings new exciting batches to the market so that we can get our regular customers opinions on new flavours before anyone else!

When the KOOEE! team are not deep in conversation about Jerky, we can often be heard discussing Tasmanian trails. Giving tourists advice on the best places to go or trading war stories with some of our local adventurists.
